It’s not always about right and wrong, it’s about understanding their perspective. In order to “look at things from another perspective” one would need to occupy a different vantage point. This seems simple enough, but the success of the attempt depends on what the object is. As with all objectivity the problem becomes one of definition again. How does one decide what constitutes the foreground and background to a figure?
